High School Senior Scholarship

Registration is open for the Iowa Student Loan's Iowa Financial Know-How Challenge: Senior Scholarship.  This is a chance for 30 Iowa high school seniors to earn $2,000 for college, all while learning important financial literacy skills.

The Senior Scholarship is a no-purchase-required scholarship open to legal U.S. residents, regardless of financial need, grade point average, class rank or intended college, who:

• Are seniors at an Iowa high school during the current school year.
• Attend college the fall following the registration dates.

To qualify for the scholarship, students must:

• Register online Oct. 22, 2018–Feb. 22, 2019.
• Complete two online financial literacy tutorials and a related online assessment created by Iowa Student Loan.

The three online components take a total of about one hour for students to complete. The 30 seniors who score highest on the assessment* will receive a $2,000 scholarship sent directly to their colleges the following fall.

* If a tiebreaker is necessary, students with tied scores will be asked to complete and submit a separate component.
