U.S. Government Shutdown Assistance

We realize that this can be a difficult time for federal employees who have been affected by the government shutdown and we are here to help.

FPCU is offering a couple options of assistance:

  • Defer your current FPCU loan payment on your consumer loan* using our Skip-A-Payment program and we will waive the fee.
  • Apply for a low 4% APR** personal loan with the first payment deferred for 90 days.

To be eligible for assistance, bring us your (or spouse's) government issued pay-stub.  All affected FPCU members are encouraged to contact us, at one of our convenient locations or by email, to explore their options.


*First and second mortgages, home equity lines of credit, commercial loans, and credit cards are not eligible for this offer. Skipping a payment could extend the maturity date of your loan(s), and regular interest will continue to accrue. FPCU is not responsible for updating automatic payments made via third party, i.e. Online Bill Payer, etc. GAP and other ancillary loan products may not cover skipped payments; refer to your product contract(s) for details. **Annual Percentage Rate (APR) based on credit eligibility, equity and term. Personal loan term is available for up to 24 months.
